As homeschool moms, we can sometimes get caught up in teaching the core subjects of reading, writing, math, history, science. While I absolutely believe in focusing on these core subjects when your children are young or in certain seasons, it is important to touch on some other ideas in our homeschool. Often times, things like first aid will come up in a natural conversation when it becomes necessary.
But having a few resources on hand when these natural conversations come up can be helpful. First Aid is one of those things that I make sure my children have a basic understanding of, as appropriate for their ages. I also like to have fun with some seasonal activity bundles during our Morning Time.
We went through this Safety Unit from The Good and the Beautiful as a family, which I highly recommend. This free first aid printable bundle of worksheets is a great addition to that unit study or as stand alone worksheets. Grab a book from the library and read aloud, and engage your children with plenty of discussion. I also recommend grabbing a basic first aid kit like this one for your kids as you work through your books and worksheets.
