I find as a homeschool mom, it is imperative to my sanity and the health of my family that I keep my home is somewhat of an orderly fashion. This doesn’t mean my home is Pinterest worthy – it isn’t, at all. But my home is a safe place for my family and I endeavor to create an atmosphere where they feel welcomed and comfortable.
Because I am a busy homeschooling mom of 8, with a home business, I live by my lists. And what better way to keep track of what cleaning needs to be done in my home than a housekeeping checklist!
This is my Weekly Cleaning Checklist. I have certain tasks I do each day, like dishes and laundry and wiping counters, so those go in the Daily Section. Then, I usually assign “zones” to the days of the week. So, Monday I might focus on the bathrooms and Tuesday I might deep clean the kitchen, Wednesday I will change all the sheets, etc.
If you need more inspiration, here are my top tips for effective homemaking.
I do my best to not do any cleaning on Sundays, so you’ll notice that day isn’t included in this checklist. If you prefer Saturday to be your Sabbath day, you can just adjust as needed.
You can download this checklist below and I have even included a Chore Chart you can print out for your children!
Happy Cleaning! Tomorrow we will be chatting meal plans!
