I have loved doing nails for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a house full of boys, but I still managed to be pretty girly! I would not call myself high maintenance at all; I am really pretty simple. But I do enjoy putting myself together and looking good for my husband. That is important no matter how long you are married, right ladies?!
When my oldest daughter was a baby, I took my love of all things nails and became a licensed nail technician. It’s hard to believe but that was fourteen years ago! I worked in salons for a number of years and then took my business to my home, as I started having more children. Over the years, my nail business took a backseat to mom life, but I have found another way to use my passion….I was blessed with six daughters!!!
In our home, girls reign pretty much everyday and even though they are still mostly young, we have so much fun doing nails and hair and even some makeup.
As I learned more about living a natural lifestyle, I started to become aware of what is in nail products and became very selective about the products I chose for my girls. Then, I found press on nails! So simple, and I didn’t have to worry so much about nasty things. However, with a house full of girls, even that hobby got expensive! A friend on Instagram introduced me to Red Aspen, and that was it for me! Literally, love at first sight!
Honestly, I am surprised it took me so long to think about starting a business like Red Aspen. For me, it is such a natural fit that I really don’t even consider it a business. That sounds ridiculous, I know. I simply mean that I have loved doing nails for as long as I can remember and did make a living from it at one time…so why not now? This is a business that I can literally do in pockets of time, from home, and I really don’t even have to think about it. These nails sell themselves, just by me wearing them and sharing my nails. So simple and fun! I have been blessed with a community through my blog over the years, and have learned so much about social media, branding, email marketing…and what NOT to do in the online world.
WHAT IS RED ASPEN?
Well, you already know that Red Aspen makes nail dashes! They have so much more though – gorgeous lashes, beauty tools, eye makeup (literally, the best mascara I have ever used!), and lip colors.

I have been part of direct sales companies before, and have had quite a bit of success with them. However, nothing has ever been so natural of a fit for me. Perhaps this has to do with the fact that I have been a licensed nail tech for so long. But I also think it has to do with the idea of it being a social selling company. I told you already, these nails (and lashes) literally sell themselves. I simply show others which nail dashes I have on for the week, and people buy them!
Yes, we are all busy moms, but busy moms still love to feel good and pamper themselves a bit! The beauty industry isn’t going anywhere!

HOW TO START YOUR RED ASPEN BUSINESS:
Starting your own Red Aspen business is pretty simple!
We have three normal kits to choose from, and it is completely up to you which one you choose. All you need to do is grab a starter kit, and then decide if you want to add on an additional System Kit. These extra kits are not required, but I highly recommend grabbing one when you join because they are so discounted that it doesn’t make sense not to! You can use the additional product for yourself, or you can turn around and sell it. The Kits are only available when you first sign up, so make sure to take your pick!

COMMON QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS:
Q. I’ve been part of a Direct Sales business and it didn’t work. Why would this be any different?
A. Well, I can’t promise you it won’t be. What I can tell you is that I have also been part of other business before, and never enjoyed one more! I also believe that most DS/MLM business can work, but it is up to YOU and how you approach it. I know I refuse to message my friends and family, asking them to buy or to support me. That seems salesy and slimy to me, and I would never teach you to do that. I will ask you to work with me, trust the process, and put the time and effort into building an authentic business that you can be proud of.
Q. Do I need to have a large following and know all about social media?
A. Nope! While having a following and knowledge of social media certainly helps you build faster, not having that doesn’t mean you will not succeed. Like I said above, if you listen to my trainings and trust the process, you’ll see growth! You don’t need huge numbers to build a business. You just need to show up, be authentic, and be consistent.
Q. Do I need to have parties?
A. No, again! We can offer “popups” which are essentially parties, either online or in person. But I have found they are less effective than they used to be, and it is not my training method of choice. I will definitely help you if this is the route you want to go, but it is not the main method of running your business.
Q. Is there a monthly quota?
A. Not exactly, no. You do need to sell (your own purchases count) $120 of product each month to be considered “active” and earn commission. But this isn’t a requirement to be a Brand Ambassador.
Q. Is there training to help me?
A. Absolutely! Red Aspen has their own phenomenal training, but our leadership team is top notch as well! My direct sponsor has her own online business aside from Red Aspen that she built from her table, and branding and social media is her specialty! I was highly impressed when I joined!
