Moms, you know those nights. The ones where the kids are bouncing off the walls, you are exhausted, and everything seems to be going wrong? With seven kids, I have had more than my fair share of those nights.
Halloween Night Chaos
Without fail, one of those chaotic nights is Halloween night. While we don’t practice Halloween in the typical fashion, we do allow the kids to dress up in non scary costumes, and then we usually visit friends or go to our church for their annual fire. It can be a crazy night, between Dad coming home from work and us trying to finish up school work, have dinner, get everyone in costumes and hair and makeup, of course. Over the years, I have learned to let a lot go! I simplify when I can and don’t feel guilty about it at all.
Pizza is a secret weapon our whole family can agree on and one that instantly makes the night go smoother. Who doesn’t love pizza, right?
Make It Simple
There are some things I can’t control, but when I can…I try my best! I don’t want to start a fun filled night on a stressful note. It is hard enough trying to get nine of us out the door! That is why I am so thankful that I can go to the store and grab some Red Baron Classic pizza and instantly calm the chaos. To an extent, of course! This makes the night so simple! There are no dishes to wash and clean up is made even easier. I also can relax knowing that their bellies will be full all night.
