MIRACLES
We all want to believe in miracles. When we are part of God’s family, we have the ability to not only believe, but to see miracles performed by God. He shows us his power and majesty through the miracles that Jesus performed. These miracles are a reminder of God’s great love for us and of His ability to do more than we can ever dream or imagine. Each miracle was recorded to remind us that God is almighty, that He is in control and that He loves us greatly. Miracles remind us that with God ANYTHING is possible. Truly anything.
When we stand in His presence, we are standing in the presence of the One who can fix anything. All He has to do is speak the word and miracles are a reminder of this truth about His character. While we will be writing the miracles that Jesus performed in the Bible for this plan, remember that God is STILL in the business of miracles! You just need to be still long enough to see them.
This article on Interpreting The Miracles Of Jesus with John Piper was a blessing for me to read and I pray it will be for you as well.
“When we finish reading a miracle, we ought to pause and say,
‘Jesus, show me what this is saying about you.'”
My prayer is that this month we find the lessons in each of these miracles and grow closer to the Lord God Almighty!
