Hey friends! Here we are…Christmas is only DAYS away! Does anyone else love the mess that gets made on Christmas morning? It may be the one time that I live for the mess…
I hate to bring it up a bit early, but since Christmas is right here, that also means we are facing a new year. I used to dread the start of the New Year, with all its’ expectations. I had to lose weight, earn more money, be a better mom and wife, read my Bible in 10 days…the list goes on. While all those things may be true and right in certain circumstances, it was the weight of those expectations that would bring me down. I was setting resolutions according to what was expected of me, and felt that lovely sense of failure when I didn’t meet them right away.
Needless to say, I gave up setting resolutions. For a coupe years, I just didn’t set anything at the start of the New Year. Then I realized that I could set goals – goals that aligned with my priorities and my family’s purpose. Goals that were a little out of my reach and ability, but still achievable with the right plan in place. Now, I am able to look forward to that start of the year with excitement, and a little anticipation.
So, that is where this challenge comes in. I want to help you lose those unrealistic expectations…the ones you gain by setting resolutions. I want to help you Plan to Thrive…
So, to help us all start the New Year on a positive note, setting goals that we can look forward to, I decided to create a new FREE 5-day challenge called “Plan to Thrive” for all my sweet mom and wife friends!
This challenge is meant to equip you with the tools you need to set realistic goals, based on where you are at and where you want to be. It doesn’t matter if your goal is to lose weight, increase your income, pray more, live in the moment, or anything in between. You will learn what kinds of goals to set and how to set them, how to break them down into manageable tasks, reverse engineer your goals, how to stay accountable and more.
Every day for 5 days you will receive an email delivered straight to your inbox containing a short lesson and an action step, or two, to actually implement what you’re learning. You’ll also have access to our member’s only Facebook group to connect and engage with the other wives and moms going through the challenge along with you!
So, if you’ve been feeling less than excited about a New Year and are ready to make some changes, join me and sign up for the Plan to Thrive Challenge today! You can sign up here. And, don’t forget to invite all your wife/mom friends!

December 23, 2016 at 10:26 amI love the ideas of setting goals instead of resolutions. Goals have a plan and resolutions seem to have a bad vibe!! They never work out through January. I have so many goals this year!!

December 23, 2016 at 11:48 amYes! I don’t want to make resolutions – I want goals that are attainable and not stressful! I am coming back to this once the Christmas rush is over!

December 26, 2016 at 8:36 amI stopped setting New Year goals well because the goals were so out of reach I knew it wouldn’t happen so just gave up. Finally have learned to set several smaller goals. Might be as simple as cleaning out each closet in each bedroom. Small goal achieved leads me to another goal to reach for.

December 26, 2016 at 11:41 amI call them goals too! I also tell people to set realistic goals and have an accountability partner that will help you reach those goals =)
