No Cook Pumpkin Spice Playdough

Oh, friends – there is just something about fall, isn’t there? Every year, I tell myself not to rush summer and to appreciate all the blessings that summer brings. And I truly do…but I would by lying to myself if I said that I don’t enjoy fall most of all! I love everything about it. And this fall, we are welcoming baby number 8 into our family, so it will be even more special for us!

My kids love playdough all year round, so we whipped up this simple recipe for a No Cook Pumpkin Spice Playdough that is perfect for fall! If you don’t have essential oils, you can skip that as they are optional. Just use any pumpkin pie spice you have around your cabinets.

Enjoy creating with your kiddos! We only homeschool four days a week, which leaves Fridays for fun projects like this!

Supplies:

1 cup flour
½ cup salt
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon pumpkin spice seasoning
1 tablespoon oil
1 cup boiling water
Food coloring (there are natural options!)

Optional: essential oils like, clove, nutmeg, thieves etc

Directions:

1. In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, cream of tartar, and cinnamon.
2. Combine the oils and food coloring with the boiling water. Stir the oily water into the dry

This is such a great idea. Homemade play-dough is already a good concept, but something that smells really nice is a bonus. Regular play-dough usually smells terrible.. but pumpkin? Yes please!
