Why I Switched To Simply Earth Essential Oils

I have been using essential oils for about six years now. I started learning about living a more natural lifestyle after my first child was born, about 15 years ago. It has been a journey! But that is the way it should be…learning a little more, and then a little more…and implementing as much as you realistically can. Right?

When I first started using essential oils, I used one company only – Young Living. I trusted their quality and purity and saw the effectiveness of their essential oils first hand. I immediately saw the benefits and knew I would forever use and love essential oils. Fast forward six years, and I have learned more and more with each year. I have seen what works and doesn’t work with my family and in my home, and I have done plenty of my own research. I am not the type of person that jumps on the newest bandwagon and believes everything I am told. I pray, I research, I educate myself, and I implement what I feel is right for my family.

I found Simply Earth when they reached out to me last spring. Admittedly, I was hesitant to try another essential oil company. I trusted the company I had always purchased from, I knew what worked and I didn’t want to compromise my family’s health. So, I did what I do best…I researched, and researched some more.

Full disclosure: Since writing this post, I have switched back to only using Young Living essential oils. I have nothing bad to say about Simply Earth as a company, and will not bash another company. However, after using them for quite some time, I never felt the efficacy I did and do when using Young Living. The smells are not the same, not as pure. And I wasn’t seeing the results in my family that I knew I got when using Young Living. I don’t ever have to question YL essential oils, and I found myself questioning using SE a lot. I don’t want to feel that way when using essential oils with my family.

Make your own decision on what is best for you family. For me, I will always use and trust Young Living. It is hands down the absolute best time to join Young Living – either as a member or as an enroller. Here’s why.

Why Simply Earth?

You can read the Simply Earth Promise here. Simply Earth is run by a certified aromatherapist, who puts a high priority on continuing education.

They share appropriate Dilution Rates right on their website, so there is no confusion when you hear one thing from a new oil user and another from a more experienced.

They also have a Comparison Chart for people like me who have used another essential oil company for years. This is incredibly helpful to  me, because as I have run out of a Young Living blend, I am easily able to see which Simply Earth blend I can replace it with.

Another huge benefit for me was the affordability of Simply Earth. The majority of their oils come in the 15ml size and are far cheaper than what I was used to paying for my oils. While I truly see the benefit of investing in our health now versus later, I can not always afford the monthly minimum of some other companies.

If any of this speaks to you, I encourage you to try Simply Earth for yourself! You can start with their Monthly Recipe Box or just order a few essential oils and see what you think! The Recipe Box is definitely the best “bang for your buck” and I explained why in this post here.

I also have used the essential oils sold by the MLM companies. While I’m not against them, I do feel that their business model jacks up their prices. Glad to know there are other comparable oils out there. I’ve also been looking for a natural deodorant that works, so I’m signing up for the prelaunch list for sure!

I haven’t gotten into essential oils but a lot of my friends are pretty sold on them. It sounds like you have some really nice ones that you are working with.

I love my essential oils as well – and use them in baths, homemade lotions, and steaming. I have started to wonder how difficult it would be to make my own oils . . . but I”m not there yet. Until then, I will continue to seek out places that offer natural products. Thanks for the heads-up.

I love essentials, but I haven’t tried this brand. I’m going to look into it and give them a try next time I need a refill!

Oh! Those recipe boxes sound super fun! I wish I had seen this in December…I could’ve made some amazing gifts! And that deodorant is intriguing too. Does it come in unscented?

    So Terryan
You switched to Simply Earth and back to Young Living?
I see this was written a year ago, Dec 2019.
I am getting the recipe boxes and am not truly 100% given to SE. I know I will never buy a Thieves substitute, I have my own amazing experience with that particular oil.
I am getting some vesting in doTerra as I can get their oils wholesale from my niece.

I do not find it easy to troll the YL site just attempting to study the oils like I can on doTerra. I miss that. I do find the information on the SE Facebook groups conflicting and opinion driven, so I make use of websites like yours to read.

So you are totally on YL, correct?

Hi! Yes, I do use YL 100%. I have lots of SE that I will use in a pinch in my diffusers. But usually only if I’m waiting for my YL order. I don’t think you can get better than YL, in my opinion.

What made you switch back to YL?
