What’s True About You Bible Journaling Kit | DaySpring

I get so excited when a new Bible Journaling kit launches and this is no exception! The newest Bible Journaling kit from DaySpring is now here and it is just fabulous, as always! I make sure to share kit releases in our community, Bible Journaling for Moms, but in case you aren’t in there I’m sharing it all here, too!

(This kit was sent to me as part of the DaySpring Launch Team but all opinions are my own. This post does contain affiliate links.)

We’ve been looking at the Women of the Bible for the last three months. This month, we are starting a new series, and the kit for May is the first of two kits in the series. This month we are going through “What’s True About You: Your Own Story”, which was authored by Holley Gerth and coordinates with her new book and journal.

What’s True About You: Your Own Story

When you first open your kit, you’ll notice a notecard that explains what the kit is about and the contents in it. You will also notice little color swatches, which is so helpful. I take this card to the craft store and can easily pick up any coordinating supplies I need, since the colors are right there for me.

The next thing you will notice are these gorgeous felt flowers! I am not sure what I will do with them, because they are too bulky for my Bible, but I am determined to find a use for them! I would love to know if you have any creative ideas!

Just like in previous kits, you get 4 devotional cards. This month they are in landscape orientation versus the portrait from the last few kits.

The devotional content takes us to Hebrews, Psalm, Proverbs, and Philippeans. There are questions to prompt you on each card, and a few extra verses as well.

I typically do 4 entries with each kit, but what you journal is up to you and God. You could do one entry per devotional, or do a few extra with the added verses. You could do a few entries in your Bible and a few in your journal. These kits are meant to give you everything you need, but keep it personal enough so that everyone’s journey through them are different.

Personally, I will be completing the 4 entries in my Bible and using my faith binder to journal my answers to the questions and to do some prayer journaling.

Next, we have multiple sheets of stickers! You will receive 3 sheets of Alpha stickers with this nice, bold font in that dark pink color.

Then, you may notice I am holding a few sheets of blank stickers?? Well, they aren’t blank! There was a misprint when DaySpring first ordered the stickers. The correct stickers are the colored stickers – you get 2 sheets of those. The misprinted stickers are actually white! They are printed on clear sticker paper, with white lettering. DaySpring decided to pass on their “mistake” to us, which I am actually excited for!

These white stickers will look great on a page with a darker background – I plan on using a lot of watercolor in this kit, and can’t wait to layer these white stickers on pops of color.

You don’t have to have Holley’s book or journal to work through the devotional content – the kit stands alone – but it is a nice option if you want to dive deeper into this topic. The book coordinates beautifully.

One thing I love about these new DaySpring kits is how they always include a beautiful greeting card. They really want to encourage us to go back to the basics, and send a handwritten card to a family member or friend, just to encourage them.

Not only is the devotional content truly rich, on a topic that really speaks to me right now, but the kit content is so beautiful! Check out those die-cuts and washi tape!

I definitely plan on using a lot of watercolors throughout my entries. I may use some of my Distress Inks as well. If you want to try your hand at some watercolor florals, you can find the watercolor palette I use along with many more creative tools on the DaySpring site.

I have never bible journaled. I am one of those who does not like to write in my bible….lol. However, I do write in one specific bible but it is usually a prayer, highlighting a verse that speaks to me, or a word that I to write from the Lord. I do like your idea of have a binder to work in. I have not tried that yet!
